Independent Software

PalShade is an independently developed third-party Windows companion utility designed to provide a dark visual appearance when using the Paltalk desktop application.

PalShade is not developed, published, sponsored, authorized, endorsed by, affiliated with, or otherwise associated with Paltalk or its owners, operators, affiliates, or licensors.

“Paltalk” and any related names, logos, product names, trademarks, service marks, trade dress, software, and other intellectual property are the property of their respective owners. Any reference to Paltalk on this website or within PalShade is made solely to identify the third-party software with which PalShade is designed to be used.

PalShade does not include, sell, license, or redistribute the Paltalk application. Users must obtain and maintain their own legitimate installation of Paltalk separately and remain responsible for complying with Paltalk's applicable terms and policies.

How PalShade Works

PalShade is separate software intended to alter the visual presentation experienced while running compatible versions of Paltalk on Windows. PalShade is not a replacement for Paltalk and does not provide access to Paltalk's network, accounts, subscriptions, chat rooms, or services independently of the Paltalk software.

PalShade is designed to operate alongside a separately installed copy of Paltalk. PalShade does not grant the user any rights in Paltalk software or intellectual property.

Nothing provided by PalShade should be interpreted as authorization to modify, copy, redistribute, reverse engineer, circumvent, or otherwise use Paltalk software in a manner prohibited by applicable law or by agreements governing the user's use of Paltalk.

Compatibility

PalShade is designed and tested against specific versions of Paltalk for Windows. Paltalk is third-party software outside PalShade's control and may be changed, updated, replaced, discontinued, or otherwise modified at any time.

Accordingly, compatibility with current or future versions of Paltalk cannot be guaranteed.

A Paltalk update may temporarily or permanently affect PalShade's functionality. Where appropriate, PalShade may provide compatibility updates for supported versions, but no representation is made that every Paltalk release will be supported or that compatibility updates will be available immediately.

Users should review the currently supported versions and system requirements before purchasing, installing, or updating PalShade.

Privacy and Account Access

PalShade does not require your Paltalk username or password in order to provide its visual functionality.

PalShade is not intended to read, collect, transmit, sell, or store the contents of your Paltalk private messages or chat conversations as part of its normal operation.

Your relationship with Paltalk, including your Paltalk account, communications, purchases, subscriptions, data, and use of Paltalk services, remains governed by Paltalk's own terms, policies, and practices. PalShade does not control and is not responsible for Paltalk's collection, processing, storage, security, or use of information.

Third-Party and Open-Source Components

PalShade may interact with or depend upon software components distributed under third-party or open-source licenses. Those components remain subject to their respective copyright notices and license terms.

Where an applicable open-source license requires notices, license text, source availability, installation information, replacement or relinking rights, or other materials to be provided to users, those materials and rights are provided separately and are not restricted by PalShade's proprietary license terms.

Third-party and open-source software remains the property of its respective copyright holders.

No Transfer of Third-Party Rights

Purchasing or downloading PalShade grants only the rights expressly provided for PalShade itself. It does not grant a license to Paltalk, Qt, Microsoft Windows, or any other third-party product or intellectual property.

Users remain responsible for obtaining any third-party software required to use PalShade and for complying with the licenses and terms applicable to that software.

No Guarantee of Third-Party Services

PalShade has no control over the availability, operation, policies, pricing, functionality, or continued existence of Paltalk or any other third-party service.

PalShade is therefore not responsible for interruptions, account restrictions, service changes, software updates, feature removals, incompatibilities, or other actions taken by third parties.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, PalShade makes no warranty that the software will remain compatible with Paltalk indefinitely or that Paltalk will permit, support, or accommodate third-party companion software.

User Responsibility

You are responsible for determining whether installing and using PalShade is appropriate for your computer, Paltalk installation, account, and circumstances.

You are also responsible for complying with the terms governing any third-party software or service that you use with PalShade.

PalShade does not authorize conduct that would violate another party's intellectual-property rights, contractual rights, software license, terms of service, or applicable law.

Disclaimer

PalShade is provided subject to the license, warranty, refund, and other terms presented at the time of purchase or installation.

Except where prohibited by applicable law, PalShade and its developer are not responsible for losses arising from changes to or failures of third-party software or services, including loss of compatibility, interruption of access, changes to Paltalk functionality, or actions taken by a third-party service provider.

Nothing in this Legal Notice excludes, restricts, or modifies any warranty, consumer right, remedy, or other protection that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
